Omega Delta Upsilon Foundation has three signature events that serve its mission to help assist its surrounding community. The Foundation’s Heritage & Recognition Ball serves as the foundation’s primary fundraiser to provide financial support and assistance to the educational pursuits of the Greater Trenton Metropolitan area youth. It also serves as an opportunity to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the African-American Community or who have excelled in their particular field of endeavor. Additionally, the Ball pays homage to the legacy of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. for its role in the evolution of Black History Month.
The Foundation’s Scholarship Golf Outing is yet another opportunity for the Foundation to fundraise in order to provide financial support and assistance to encourage and support our area high school graduates. This is a major initiative of the world-wide reach of Omega to support young adults in need, and in their pursuit of knowledge, excellence, and achievement.
Finally, the Foundation has consistently partnered with The Malcolm Bernard Historically Black Colleges & Universities Week College Tour. This event has been proven to be a success; allowing local students and their parents or guardians to meet over 40+ Historically Black Colleges & Universities. Students and their parents or guardians are able to participate in workshops educating them on topics such as scholarships, financial aid, and the job market. Students also have the opportunity to apply to the colleges and universities on the spot. This event has drawn over two thousand students in the past and is another key event that the Foundation feels is an important piece to the educational pursuits of the Greater Trenton Metropolitan area youth.
